Abstrak

This study examines policy and market perspectives in supporting sustainable agribusiness development in Bone Regency. Using a descriptive-qualitative approach, data were collected through field observation, in-depth interviews, and analysis of local policy documents. A total of 30 respondents participated, including rice, corn, and horticulture farmers, local/regional market actors, village officials, and community leaders. Findings reveal that government policies on strengthening farmer institutions, providing post-harvest technology support, and integrating nutrition programs play a crucial role in reinforcing agribusiness sustainability. From the market perspective, product diversification in horticulture and expanded access to regional and national markets are key drivers of added value. These results highlight that sustainable agribusiness requires synergy between public policy and market dynamics to improve farmers’ welfare while supporting food security and public health.
