This study evaluates place identity's role in sustaining cultural tourism within Samarinda's Weaving Community. Using a quantitative approach, data from 87 weavers were collected (Jan-Feb 2025). The methodology involves a proportion test for initial identity level diagnosis, followed by correlation analysis (Spearman's ρ) to reveal how place identity sub-variables influence cultural tourism sustainability. Findings show over 50% of weavers have moderate place identity, with a significant correlation (ρ = 0.596) to tourism sustainability. These insights suggest strengthening place identity via community engagement and infrastructure support to preserve weaving heritage and boost cultural tourism.
