The purpose of this study is to examine the Internet of Things (IoT) business literacy and cognitive dimensions that influence the growth intention of SMEs in local-themed tourism destinations in Malang Raya, Indonesia, with entrepreneurial spirit as a mediating factor. The quantitative research method, the sample of this study was 380 SMEs selected through proportional random sampling and analysis using CFA and CB-SEM in SmartPLS 4.0. The results showed that all variables have a significant influence on the desire to grow, both directly and indirectly. The originality of this study lies in the integration of technological literacy, cognitive ability, and entrepreneurial orientation to explain the dynamics of SME growth in a tourism-driven economic context, offering a holistic vision structure for strategic SME development. This recommendation provides actionable recommendations for policymakers and business stakeholders for digital literacy in design initiatives, cognitive ability enhancement programs, and business training to strengthen SME competitiveness in local and global markets.
