This study aims to examine the diversity of animal-based food consumption among rice farming households in Nagari Palangai and analyze the impact of factors such as animal food prices, family size, education level, and income on consumption diversity. Additionally, the study investigates the role of income as a mediator between these factors and consumption diversity. Conducted in June-July 2025 with 116 respondents, using primary data and analyzed through multiple linear regression and Sobel test. The results show that the diversity of animal-based food consumption is moderate. Animal food prices and family size significantly affect consumption, while education and income do not. Income mediates the relationship between food prices, family size, and consumption diversity.
