Hypertension is a major non-communicable disease and leading cause of global mortality. According to WHO, an estimated 1.28 billion adults suffer from hypertension, with projections reaching 1.5 billion by 2025. In Indonesia, prevalence stands at 34.1%, with 32.27% of patients not taking medication regularly. Health literacy plays a crucial role in understanding, evaluating, and applying health information, influencing treatment adherence and blood pressure control. This quantitative observational cross-sectional study involved 30 respondents at Benteng Public Health Center, Central Bangka. Using Chi-Square analysis, results revealed a significant relationship between health literacy and blood pressure control (p=0.003). Conclusively, good health literacy contributes to effective hypertension management, highlighting the importance of comprehensive health education strategies
